like y’all used to be all over sino films particularly wuxia but now chinese people are the butt of dirty communist jokes and told our language is “ugly” compared to japanese and korean

and i mean before anime got popular in the west anti japanese sentiment was RAMPANT and UNENDING i could hear pearl harbor jokes forever

like… this boom of kpop is really recent. i noticed as a child when korean people around me were assumed to be my relative (despite not being the same ethnicity), and there was no other option for asian aside “chinese and japanese”

there is no fucking “korean” privilege or whatever the fuck that blogger was saying. there’s no “asian” privilege whatsoever. as soon as this anime and kpop fad dies out in the west y’all are gonna go straight back to hating them and calling them the ugliest slurs, exactly as you do with sino people. exactly as you have been doing for pretty much every asian. shut the fuck up.
